BHABHUA--------------------------In a major action in Kaimur district, the Vigilance Department arrested Dr. Ajay Kumar, Principal of a Polytechnic College in Mohania, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹60,000. The principal is accused of demanding a bribe in exchange for releasing a professor's salary pending since March. Vigilance Department Deputy Superintendent of Police Viplav Kumar stated that they had received a complaint against Dr. Ajay Kumar, Principal of the Polytechnic College in Machhanhatta, Mohania. The complaint stated that the principal was demanding a bribe of ₹60,000 to release a professor's salary pending since March. After verifying the complaint, which was found to be true, the team of the Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Patna, registered Vigilance Police Station Case No. 82/25 against the principal. A team of about 10 officers, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Viplav Kumar, raided the principal's office today and arrested Dr. Ajay Kumar red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹60,000. Viplav Kumar (Deputy Superintendent of Police, Investigation Bureau, Patna) stated that the team carried out the operation in a well-planned manner and the principal has been arrested on corruption charges.
