BHABHUA----------------------Despite opposition in the private land of the raiyatdars, the plan for the construction of lanes and drains was approved, the work was stopped due to the wisdom of senior officers

In Ishipur village of Durgawati zone area under the district, the approval of the drain and lane construction work plan by the officers despite opposition in the private land of the raiyatdars shows incompetence. That too where the land of the drain and lane is encroached by encroachers adjacent to the same place.

While seeing the inaction of the officers in getting the drain and lane land free from encroachers since two years, the matter has been taken to the court for getting proper justice, the land has been measured earlier also, in which it is clear, that the land of the lane and drain has been encroached by encroachers. Despite the matter being pending in the court in the knowledge of the officers, approving the work by not following the laws is a question mark on the working style of the concerned officer. Either due to political pressure or due to financial greed, the officers are unable to discharge their duties. According to the information received from the victim and his elder senior journalist Shyam Sundar Pandey, case number 139/2024 is going on in Mohaniya court between Dilip Pandey and Rajan Pandey to free the land of the village street and drain from encroachment. Meanwhile, the MLA of Ramgarh Assembly Ashok Kumar Singh got the amount allocated for work in the street from his fund, while the court case is going on on that street account number 66 plot number 262 and 139. Earlier, when the land of the street and drain was measured, the land on which the work was going to be done was proved to be of Dilip Pandey and Sandesh Pandey. A photocopy of which and a photocopy of the case going on in the court was also shown to the Circle Officer. Still, the approval of the scheme and the start of work on the site, the silence of the Circle Officer despite the start of work gives rise to many questions. The victim along with the public representatives appealed to the local officials but the laws were ignored by them. Finally, after the matter came to the notice of the District Officer and Sub-Divisional Officer, on Wednesday, the Anchal Amin got the measurement done again by the Anchal Amin and the work was stopped.

When the local MLA Ashok Singh was contacted over telephone in this regard, he said that no work will be done on the land of the Raiyatdars.

If the victim is to be believed, the so-called social worker Rajan Pandey, dedicated to RSS, in connivance with the MLA, ministers and officers, tried to usurp the government land by flouting the law, in which the MLA was also supporting him without taking complete information related to the land, which was stopped by senior officials. If seen on the ground, big incidents take birth due to such one-sidedness by the officials and public representatives.

As per the rules, the encroached land should be freed from encroachment by the officials taking suo motu cognizance. Approval of schemes on private land cannot be done without the consent of the tenant. Wherever development work is being obstructed due to non-availability of land, the government can acquire the land but only after paying the appropriate amount for the land as per the rules. But in most of such cases in the district, the officers shirk their duties. Not only this, if someone appeals to the officers against the encroachers through an application, the officers do not hesitate to adopt it as a source of money.

After all, why do the so-called social workers, public representatives and officers try to strangle the law? Economic greed or political pressure?
