BHABHUA--------------------------Despite opposition in the private land of the raiyatdars, the plan for the construction of lanes and drains got approval, the work got stalled due to the wisdom of the senior officers

In the Ishipur village of Durgawati zone area under the district, the approval of the drain and lane construction work plan by the officers despite opposition in the private land of the raiyatdars shows incompetence. That too where the land of the drain and lane is encroached by encroachers adjacent to the same place.

While seeing the inaction of the officers in getting the land of the drain and lane freed from the encroachers since two years, the matter has been taken to the court for getting proper justice, the land has been measured earlier also, in which it is clear, that the land of the lane and drain has been encroached by encroachers. Despite the matter being pending in the court in the knowledge of the officials, approving the work without following the laws raises questions on the working style of the concerned officer. Either the officers are unable to discharge their duties in front of political pressure or due to financial greed. According to the information received from the victim and his elder senior journalist Shyam Sundar Pandey, case number 139/2024 is going on in Mohania court between Dilip Pandey and Rajan Pandey to free the land of the village street and drain from encroachment. Meanwhile, the MLA of Ramgarh Assembly Ashok Kumar Singh got the amount allocated for work in the street from his fund, while the court case is going on on that street account number 66 plot number 262 and 139. Earlier, when the land of the street and drain was measured, the land on which the work was going to be done was proved to be of Dilip Pandey and Sandesh Pandey. A photocopy of which and a photocopy of the case going on in the court were also shown to the Circle Officer. Nevertheless, the approval of the scheme and the commencement of work at the site, the silence of the Circle Officer despite the commencement of work, gives rise to many questions.

The victim along with the public representatives appealed to the local officials but they ignored the laws. Finally, after the matter came to the notice of the District Officer and the Sub-Divisional Officer, on Wednesday, the Circle Officer got the land measured again by the Circle Amin, and the work was stopped.

When the local MLA Ashok Singh was talked to through telephone in this regard, he said that work will not be done on the land of the Raiyatdars.

If the victim is to be believed, the so-called social worker Rajan Pandey, dedicated to the RSS, tried to usurp the government land by flouting the law in connivance with the MLA, ministers and officials, in which the MLA was also helping without taking complete information related to the land, which was stopped by senior officials. If seen on the ground, big incidents are born due to such one-sidedness of the officials including the public representatives.

As per the rules, the encroached land should be freed from encroachment by the officials taking cognizance on their own. Approval of schemes on someone's private land cannot be done without the opinion of the Raiyatdar. Wherever development work is being obstructed due to lack of land, the government can acquire the land but as per the rules, after providing the appropriate amount for the land. But in most of such cases in the district, the officials shirk their duties. Not only this, if someone goes ahead and appeals against the encroachers through an application before the officials, the officials do not hesitate to adopt it as a source of money.

After all, why do the so-called social workers, public representatives and officials try to strangle the law? Economic greed or political pressure?
