ARA-------------------------With the aim of providing clean, nutritious and balanced food to the trainees at Ara Police Training Center, 'Didi Ki Rasoi' run by Jeevika Didis was formally inaugurated. On this occasion, District Magistrate Bhojpur Tanay Sultania and Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj jointly inaugurated the kitchen by cutting the ribbon. The guests present at the inauguration ceremony praised this initiative and called it an exemplary step towards women empowerment.

He said that healthy and balanced food is an essential part of any training process and when its arrangement is handled by women at the local level, it becomes a symbol of self-reliance and empowerment. 'Didi Ki Rasoi' is being operated through Unnati Jeevika Complex Level Union. Under this, breakfast, lunch, tea etc. are being provided daily to the training police personnel as per the prescribed menu.

While this initiative is providing quality food to the trainees, it is also becoming a strong means of livelihood for the Jeevika sisters. The sisters working in this kitchen have already been provided necessary training related to hygiene, nutrition, food quality and safety so that they can provide services as per the standards. All aspects of hygiene are being taken care of in the process from preparation of food to serving. The sisters are regularly using aprons, clean uniforms and caps.

As a confluence of 'taste, hygiene and self-reliance', this kitchen is not only providing nutritious food to the trainees, but is also presenting an inspirational example for rural women to become economically self-reliant. On this occasion, Jeevika District Project Manager Barun Kumar, Communication Manager Manish Kumar, Suman Kumar, Kamal Kumar, Aparna Jha, Gudiya Kumari, Block Project Manager Vishal Kumar, Kamlesh Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and many Jeevika workers were present.
