POLICE ARRESTED A SMUGGLER WITH GANJA AND ARMS

BHABHUA--------------------------The Kudra police station of the district took a major action during the evening patrol on Wednesday and recovered 1.27 kg of ganja, a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from a Bareja car. In this case, the police have arrested Ashwani Kumar, father Prabhu Narayan Singh, resident of Siswar village of the police station area. According to the information received, the team of Kudra police station was on regular patrol on Wednesday evening. During this time, a Bareja car number- BR 09 U 6444 was seen coming in a suspicious condition near Lalapur Bhaisaula Gate located in Nagar Panchayat Kudra. The police signaled to stop the car, on which the driver tried to run away. The police showed promptness and chased the car and caught it. On searching the car, 1.27 kg of ganja was recovered from it. Along with this, a country-made pistol and two live cartridges were also found, seeing which the police team was also surprised. Police immediately arrested Ashwani Kumar. During interrogation, Ashwani Kumar told that he is involved in the business of smuggling ganja. Police is now engaged in finding out other networks associated with him. A case has been registered against the arrested accused under NDPS Act and Arms Act. Kudra SHO said that accused Ashwani Kumar is being sent for presentation in the honorable court. He said that the police campaign against drug business and illegal weapons will continue and such anti-social elements will not be spared.
