-Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled India's first India chipset with the start of the fourth Semicon India conference. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were also present with him during this conference held in New Delhi.

DELHI----------------------------Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled India's first India chipset with the start of the fourth Semicon India conference. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were also present with him during this conference held in New Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has showcased the Vikram 32-bit Pro chip. Also, after the inauguration of Semicon India 2025, the Prime Minister said that India will start commercial production of its Made in India semiconductor chipset from this year.
The Vikram chip has been developed in ISRO's Semiconductor Laboratory. This is India's first fully Make in India 32-Bit microprocessor. Chip is a very important part for any device, like a brain for a human being.
The aim of Semicon India 2025 is to discuss selected segments so that the semiconductor chipset industry can export chipsets to countries around the world. The aim of this conference is to focus on semiconductor fabs, advanced packaging, artificial intelligence, research and investment.
After the inauguration of Semicon India 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people and said that the global market of semiconductors will cross 1 trillion US dollars in a few years. India is going to have an important share in this 1 trillion dollar market.
The Semicon India conference started in 2022 and today the fourth conference has started. It was first held in Bengaluru in the year 2022, after which it was concluded in Gandhinagar in the year 2023, then this program was held in Noida in 2024.
A semiconductor chip is actually a silicon circuit board. This chip is as important for any device or gadget as the brain is for a human being. The semiconductor chip performs many functions, including tasks like data processing, storage, controls and communications.
