ARA--------------------------A meeting of the empowered standing committee was held at the Municipal Corporation office on Saturday. It was chaired by Mayor Indu Devi. The following important points were discussed in the meeting, and decisions were taken unanimously.
During this time, the proceedings of the previous meeting were confirmed. It was also decided to purchase useful equipment to strengthen the city's sanitation system and to arrange for garbage collection in the second shift on the city's main roads.
A proposal was passed for the construction of a bathing area and community toilet near Bada Pokhra (Badi Musahar Toli) in Ward No. 43. A detailed discussion was held on the proposal related to the repair of CCTV cameras installed at various intersections in the city. A proposal was also passed for the beautification of the entrance gates on the city's main roads by installing stickers. Considering the convenience of women, a proposal was passed for the construction of pink toilets in the city (after identifying suitable locations). All the proposals received the unanimous consent of all the members of the empowered standing committee.
Besides Mayor Indu Devi, Municipal Commissioner Anju Kumari, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Jamal Akhtar Ansari, City Manager Ratnesh Kumar, Ms. Himal Kumari, Public Sanitation Officer Vikas Kumar, members of the empowered standing committee and Ward No. 19 Councilor Parasnath Singh, Ward No. 6 Councilor Malti Devi, Ward No. 21 Councilor Dr. Jitendra, Ward No. 22 Councilor Rekha Jain, Ward No. 33 Councilor Asha Devi, and others were present at the meeting.
