PEOPLE HARBOUR A STORM WITTHIN THEMSELVES

ARA-----------------------------There are so many people in this world who appear every day wearing a new face. Yet, they harbor a storm within themselves, yet on the surface they appear completely calm. Each face has a different story, yet even though there's a smile on it, a sparkle in their eyes, so many things remain buried deep within.

Some people want to speak, but their words stop just short of their throats. They fear that no one will understand them, or that someone might laugh or make fun of them. This fear has turned so many hearts into stone. So many times, people hide even their deepest pain as if it were a crime.

I wonder how many loves have remained unfulfilled, how many relationships have silenced them instead of talking. Someone who remains unheard in their own home, someone who feels alone even when lost in a crowd. How many faces whose smiles are merely formal, and how many eyes whose tears never show.

It's true that every person has a story, but very few stories are heard. We all carry a burden within, unaware that someone else might be feeling just as heavy.

Sometimes I wish every person could find someone to whom they could share everything without fear or hesitation. To whom they could pour out their fears, their loves, their failures, and their loneliness. But finding this "someone" is perhaps the most difficult task. Therefore, people make silence a habit. And this silence gradually becomes a layer of their personality. They appear ordinary on the outside, but deep inside, their hearts are filled with stories. Sometimes it feels like, if every silence were written down, books would probably run out, but the series of those stories never ends. Perhaps this is the greatest irony of being human. We all feel so much, want to say so much, but we can't. And gradually, those unspoken words become our identity.
