PEOPLE ARE DROWING IN THE FLOODS, CO AND BDO ARE ABSCONDING: QAYAMUDDIN ANSARI

ARA-----------------------CPI-ML State Committee member and former Mahagathbandhan supported candidate of Ara Assembly Qayamuddin Ansari said in a press statement that 14 panchayats including Jamira of Ara block are surrounded by floods.

CPI-ML leader Qayamuddin Ansari visited the flood affected areas of Ara block today. He saw that flood water has risen at five places on Ara Saraiya road while flood water is flowing on Ara Paiga road. Water has risen on the connecting roads of several dozen villages of Ara Sadar block.

Qayamuddin Ansari said that when I reached Pirota, seeing the problems of the people, I called Ara C.O. and B.D.O. I came to know that both these officers are on leave. Then I called Ara SDO and said that arrangements for boats should be made in all flood affected areas including Jagwalia, Pipra Jaipal, Nagapur, Chaumukha, Pirota, Devi, Mohanpur, Palat, Barja. CPI ML leader Qayamuddin Ansari demanded immediate arrangement of tarpaulin among the poor. He said that dry food like chuda, gram, sattu, jaggery, onion, salt, chilli and candles should be distributed among the flood victims as soon as possible.

Qayamuddin Ansari said that he told the District Officer and Disaster Management Officer on phone that Ara C.O. and B.D.O. people are dying when they are troubled and devastated by the flood and these officers are enjoying holidays in Nitish BJP rule. Therefore, the responsibility of flood relief in Ara block should be handed over to the Ara subdivisional officer.

Along with Qayamuddin Ansari, youth leader Himmat Yadav, Ankur Ahir, RJD leader Vijay Yadav, and Pironta party leader Harishankar Sah were also present.
