BHABHUA-----------------------------Peace committee meeting held on the occasion of Islamic festival Muharram in police station premises, various guidelines given. Muharram is the first month of Islamic calendar and it marks the beginning of Hijri New Year. But it is not just the beginning of a new year, but also a holy occasion reminding us of sacrifice, martyrdom and self-sacrifice. On this day, not only do we remember the sacrifice of Imam Hussain, but we also learn that the path of truth, justice and religion is never easy, but it is the most sacred. This month is also special because the 10th day of Muharram is the day of Ashura. This day has religious significance in Islam. This month is one of the four holiest months of Islam. On this occasion, a peace committee meeting was held in the police station premises under the joint chairmanship of Block Development Officer Dharmendra Kumar, Zonal Officer Ankita Kumari, and Police Station President Vikas Kumar to maintain peace and order. While giving instructions by the officer present, it was told that DJ will be completely banned in the procession of Muharram. The procession will pass through the same routes which have been used for the procession since before. Festivals are a symbol of peace and harmony. Celebrate it together. If you see anything suspicious from anywhere, inform the administration immediately and seek cooperation from the administration. On the said occasion, Kudra Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer Ujali Raj, JE of Electricity Department Kranti Singh, Head of Meuda Panchayat Sudarshan Paswan, Former Head of Nevras Panchayat Neeraj Singh, Sarpanch of Nevras Panchayat Rajesh Kumar along with the President, Secretary of Tajia Committee and dozens of members were present.

The moon was sighted in India on 26 June 2025. After which the first day of Muharram-ul-Haram started on Friday, 27 June, while the 10th day of Muharram i.e. Yaum-e-Ashura will be celebrated on Sunday, 6 July 2025.

The 10th day of Muharram is called Yaum-e-Ashura. On this day, Prophet Muhammad's grandson Imam Hussain and his family were martyred in the battle of Karbala. Imam Hussain stood up against injustice and protected truth and humanity and this sacrifice of his is remembered even today.

Sunni Muslims observe fast, pray and read Quran on this day. Shia Muslims mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, take out processions and bury him by making taziyas. Many people earn merit by distributing food, water, milk and sweets.
