SASARAM---------------------------The District Agriculture Officer told that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the blocks of Rohtas district. Fertilizers are available in sufficient quantity at the shops. Urea 5118.204 MT, Phosphatic Fertilizer 5017.45 MT, NPKS 2912.825 MT, MOP 341.15 MT are available in the district. The District Agriculture Officer has directed the wholesale and retail sellers to provide fertilizers at reasonable prices. He has issued a press release saying that surprise inspections of fertilizer establishments will be done from time to time, so that farmers can easily get fertilizers at the government's fixed rate. But the reality is that farmers are having to buy fertilizers at very high prices.
