NITISH GOVERNMENT INCREASED COMMISSION OF THE PDS DEALERS

PATNA-------------------------JVP dealers were running a movement demanding increase in commission. Before the assembly elections, the government has increased the commission to the dealers.

Nitish government has given a big gift to JVP dealers. In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, it has been decided to increase the dealer commission rate. JVP dealers were running a movement demanding increase in commission. Now before the assembly elections, the government has decided to increase the commission.

The proposal of the Food and Consumer Protection Department has been approved by the cabinet today. It has been said in the proposal, under the National Food Security Act, 2013, the amount of the dealer commission item central share is Rs. 45/- per quintal and the amount of the state share is Rs. 45/- per quintal, i.e. a total of Rs. 90 per quintal. From September 2025, under the National Food Security Act, the dealer commission item has been increased by Rs. 90/- per quintal and Rs. 47/- per quintal as additional dealer commission from the state plan, along with all items, the total rate including central assistance, state share and state plan items has been increased from Rs. 211.40 per quintal to Rs. 258.40 per quintal.

This will facilitate transportation and handling of food grains under the public distribution system, delivery of food grains in proper quantity and transportation of food grains. Also, it has been decided to increase the dealer commission payable to the Public Distribution System vendors by Rs. 47 per quintal and pay it at the rate of Rs. 137 per quintal. The government says that this increase will further improve the financial condition of the JVP dealers.
