MINOR GIRL CRUSHED TO DEATH, ROAD BLOCKED

BUXAR-----------------------------An eight-year-old girl, Radha Kumari, died in a tragic road accident near Nagwa Mor in the Simri police station area on Tuesday afternoon. Following the accident, angry villagers blocked the road at Nagwa Mor and started protesting. The villagers demanded a ban on speeding vehicles and compensation for the deceased's family. Traffic on the Old Bhojpur-Simri road remained completely disrupted for about an hour.

Police arrived at the scene and, after negotiations, ended the blockade. During this time, the Simri Block Development Officer (BDO) handed over a check of Rs. 20,000 to the deceased's family under the family benefit scheme.

Radha Kumari, daughter of Ankita Devi, a resident of Harigaon in the Jagdishpur police station area of ​​Bhojpur district, had come to her aunt's house in Dubha. On Tuesday, Yogendra Gond was taking her to her parents in Buxar on his motorcycle. Near Nagwa Mor, she was hit by a tractor coming from the opposite direction and died on the spot. However, Yogendra Gond, who was driving the motorcycle, escaped unharmed.

After the incident, villagers took the girl to the sub-divisional hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The news of her death caused a great uproar in the family, and the relatives were inconsolable at the hospital premises.

Following the accident, the police seized the tractor and arrested the driver. The station house officer said that further action would be taken after receiving a formal complaint.
