BHABHUA---------------------------In a landmark ruling, the ACJM-First court in Kaimur’s Bhabhua district sentenced Sanoj Paswan to two years of rigorous imprisonment for molesting a woman, underscoring a firm stance on women’s safety. The verdict pertains to Belawan police station case number 05/14, a decade-old incident. The court convicted San oj Paswan under Section 354(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) with two years of rigorous imprisonment, Section 324 with one year of simple imprisonment, and Section 341 with one month’s imprisonment. All sentences will run concurrently. The case, registered in 2014 at Belawan police station, involved allegations of molestation against the accused. This judgment reflects the judiciary’s commitment to women’s empowerment and protection.
