LARGE QUANTITY OF IMFL RECOVERED FROM A BOAT

ARA-------------------------The Prohibition Department is conducting continuous raids against illegal liquor in the district. In this regard, Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition, Rajneesh, received a tip-off that liquor was being transported through the Ganga River. The Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition formed a team led by Inspector Prakash Chandra. The raiding team was continuously patrolling the river. During the patrol, a boat was checked on suspicion. Upon checking the boat near Surodha Talk (Koilwar police station), a large quantity of foreign liquor was recovered.

The individuals involved in the liquor smuggling will be identified and legal action will be taken. The boat contained a total of 825,600 liters of liquor in 2,112 containers. The seized liquor is estimated to be worth approximately 1.2 million rupees. The seized liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Patna. The raiding team included Inspector Prakash Chandra, Sub-Inspector Shivam Kumar Jha, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar Raja and Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravi Kumar along with prohibition constables, SAP and Home Guard personnel.
