ARA------------------------In view of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Ranvijay Singh, upset with the JDU, has announced to contest as an independent from the Barhara seat in Bhojpur district. He indirectly accused the current JDU MLA of playing a major role in his ticket being denied.
The political equations in the Barhara seat of Bhojpur district are rapidly changing ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Former JDU Legislative Council Member (MLC) Ranvijay Singh, upset over not receiving a ticket for a second time, has left the party and announced that he will now contest as an independent candidate.
During a press conference in Arrah, Ranvijay Singh openly targeted the current JDU MLA. He indirectly alleged that the current MLA played a major role in his ticket being denied. Ranvijay said that he has been active in the area for a long time, but the party has been treating him step-motherly for two consecutive terms.
Ranvijay Singh recalled that before the 2020 assembly elections, he left the RJD and joined the JDU under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, but the party did not respect his loyalty and hard work.
He said that he will now contest the elections with the support of the people and will prioritize the development of Barhara. The former MLC's decision to contest the election as an independent candidate could bring about a major change in Barhara's politics at the local level.
