ARA------------------------Village Jawainiya of Shahpur block of Bhojpur district has vanished from existence today. The entire village has merged into the Ganga. But the question is who is responsible for this destruction?
Will anyone tell what happened to the sand mafia, which mined and sold lakhs of trucks of Ganga sand for years and destroyed the natural balance of the area?
Was action taken against it? Or was everything buried in collusion and sharing?
A few years ago, the government had sanctioned crores of rupees in the name of construction of Thokar (dam), so that the village could be saved from Ganga erosion. Where did that amount go? Was there any investigation into the looting of that fund? If there was, what was the result? Who was saved, and why?
Today, the greed of a mafia and the silence of the system have wiped out an entire village from the map. But there is no accountability, no action. Will the government tell us what will be the future of the people of Jawainia village? Will the culprits be punished, or will this case also be buried in files like other scams?
