ARA--------------------------The second match of the State Level Inter-Divisional School Cricket Boys Under-17 Tournament 2025-26, organized jointly by the Bihar State Sports Authority, Sports Department, and Bhojpur District Administration, was played today at the Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium between Munger Division and Saran Division. The match was inaugurated by the District Sports Officer of Bhojpur, Alok Kumar Gautam, who was introduced to the players. The Munger captain won the toss and elected to bat first. Opening batsmen Divyanshu and Amol provided a strong start for Munger with a century partnership. Divyanshu scored 38 runs off 36 balls, while Amol scored 45 runs off 33 balls, including three sixes and five fours. The third batsman scored 34 runs with the help of three sixes and two fours.  Thus, Munger scored a massive 187 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.  For Saran, Mohammad Faraz Ahmed took three wickets for 44 runs in four overs, while Jyoti Raj took one wicket. Chasing the target, the entire Saran team was bowled out for 94 runs. For Saran, Arpit Pandey scored 21 runs, Rehan 16 runs, and Ritesh 10 runs; no other batsman reached double figures. For Munger, Saurabh took the maximum of five wickets and was honored by the umpires for his performance.  Thus, Munger defeated Saran by 93 runs and advanced to the next round. The field umpires for today's match were Sunny Kumar Verma and Ravi Kumar, the 3rd umpire was Ved Prakash, the 4th umpire was Subhit Kumar Singh, the match referee was Rajiv Kamal Mishra, and the scorer was Kundan Raj Singh. Tomorrow's match will be played between Patna Division and Darbhanga Division at 11 AM at Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium, Ramna Maidan, Ara. During the event, former secretary of Bhojpur District Cricket Association, Vinit Rai, former president of Bhojpur District Cricket Association, Manoj Pandey, and treasurer Vivek Kumar were present.
