SASARAM--------------------------In view of the Bihar Assembly Elections and the car bomb blast near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station, a high alert has been issued by the Railway Board, New Delhi, across the country. In response, a joint team of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) conducted an intensive checking campaign at Sasaram Railway Station.
The operation was led by the RPF Post Inspector-in-Charge of Sasaram and the GRP Sasaram Inspector-in-Charge, along with their officers and staff. During the checking, all platforms, circulating areas, foot overbridges, waiting halls, parking areas, and train coaches were thoroughly searched.
No irregularities were found during the checking, and the situation at the station is reported to be completely normal. However, security agencies are maintaining special vigilance against anti-social elements.
RPF and GRP officials have appealed to the passengers to immediately inform the Railway Police about any suspicious object or person and cooperate in the security arrangements in the station premises.
