Indian Railways (East Central Railway) has launched 14 pairs of new trains from Bihar to major cities to improve passenger convenience. Additionally, the Railways has extended the service of four pairs of trains.

PATNA--------------------------Indian Railways (East Central Railway) has launched 14 pairs of new trains from Bihar to major cities to improve passenger convenience. Additionally, the Railways has extended the service of four pairs of trains.

East Central Railway is continuously working to improve passenger convenience. In this regard, several passenger convenience initiatives were undertaken in October. Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra stated that…

1. For passenger convenience, a total of 14 pairs of new trains were launched in October, including one pair each from Patna to Nawada, Islampur, and Buxar, two pairs from Patna to Gaya, one pair each from Patliputra to Gaya and Ballia, one pair each from Kiul to Mokama, Jhajha to Danapur, Saharsa and Bihariganj to Purnia Court, and one pair each from Gaunaha to Narkatiaganj. Additionally, one pair of Amrit Bharat Express services was also introduced from Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli and one pair from Darbhanga to Madar.

2. For passenger convenience, four pairs of trains were extended. Train Nos. 15515/15516 Danapur-Sugauli Express was extended to Narkatiaganj, 22843/22844 Bilaspur-Patna Express to Buxar, 12553/12554 New Delhi-Saharsa Vaishali Express to Lalitgram, and 75249/75250 Amha Pipra-Saharsa Passenger to Triveniganj.

3. 17 trains stopped at 11 East Central Railway stations in October.

4. To facilitate easy ticketing for passengers, five new UTSs were opened in October, bringing the total number of UTSs on East Central Railway to 433. These include Barbigha, Sarsa Jamalpur, Asthawan, and Topsarthua in the Danapur division, and Triveniganj in the Samastipur division.

5. In view of the passenger rush after Chhath, 32 mobile UTS facilities were made available at 14 major stations to reduce congestion at the UTS counters and ensure easy ticket availability for passengers.

6. One new escalator was installed on platform No. 2/3 at Patna Junction.

7. Two urinals were constructed on platform No. 4/5 at Patna Junction.

8. Construction of one foot overbridge (FOB) at Sakaldiha station in the Danapur division and the FOB ramp at Barhiya station was completed.

9. The platform surface of Darauli station in the Danapur division was upgraded.

10. Nine water booths were installed on the platform of Athmagola station and one on the platform of Patna Junction. Facility of 01 water booth was provided on platform no. 6/7.

11. A new goods shed was opened at North Ramgarh Chainpur in Dhanbad division which is operational 24 hours.
