PATNA-------------------------CM Nitish Kumar has ended the suspension of IAS Sanjeev Hans. The path is now clear for Sanjeev Hans to be posted in the state government. Earlier, the Patna High Court had also granted bail to Sanjeev Hans.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given a major relief to IAS Sanjeev Hans. The Nitish government has ended Sanjeev Hans's suspension. He will be posted soon. Sanjeev Hans is the former Principal Secretary of the Energy Department and a senior IAS officer. His suspension was ended on the orders of CM Nitish. The General Administration Department issued an order regarding this on Monday.

According to official sources, the state government will soon give him a new posting. According to the information, after getting conditional bail from the Patna High Court in October, Sanjeev Hans had reported to the General Administration Department. While granting him bail in the money laundering and corruption case, the High Court has stipulated that he will not leave the country during the hearing of the case and will regularly appear in court.

According to Sanjeev Hans's lawyer, Dr. Farooq Khan, the court found several flaws in the case. The court said that no concrete evidence was presented to confirm the financial transactions or the use of money earned from the crime. In such a situation, keeping the accused in custody was not considered justified.

It is noteworthy that IAS Sanjeev Hans was in jail for about a year. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested him in October 2024 in a money laundering and disproportionate assets case, after which he was sent to judicial custody in Beur Jail in Patna. In the same case, the Patna High Court has also granted bail to three people associated with various private companies who were accused of giving bribes in smart meter and other tenders and money laundering. The three had been in jail for about 10 months, and the way for their release from prison has now been cleared.
