HISTORICAL RECORDS RELATED TO SHAHABAD TRANSFERRED TO STATE ARCHIVES
As per the instructions of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, 119 correspondence volumes related to Shahabad district were transferred to Bihar State Archives Directorate (Cabinet Secretariat Department), Patna. The period of these historical records is between 1794 AD to 1860 AD.

ARA---------------------------As per the instructions of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, 119 correspondence volumes related to Shahabad district were transferred to Bihar State Archives Directorate (Cabinet Secretariat Department), Patna. The period of these historical records is between 1794 AD to 1860 AD.
Their study will make historians and researchers from India and abroad aware of new facts of the history of Shahabad region. These records will especially provide an opportunity to understand the history writing of the 1857 revolution from a new perspective. These documents will also prove helpful in highlighting many touched and untouched aspects of history.
On this occasion, Officer-in-Charge Mrs. Asma Khatoon, Archaeographer Dr. Sanjit Kumar, Chief Assistant Ashok Kumar Singh, and Assistant Records Director Uday Kumar Thakur, Ram Kumar Singh and Sarpanch Ram (Archaeographer) and other concerned were present from the Directorate Patna.
