PATNA--------------------------The Didarganj police station area in the capital, Patna, was rocked by gunfire. A violent clash broke out between two groups, spreading panic throughout the area. The situation escalated to the point where three youths were shot.
The police are currently camping in the village following this incident. It is being reported that this entire incident stems from an old rivalry. A few days ago, an altercation between two groups escalated into a physical altercation and firing. According to the victims, about 50 people surrounded them while they were returning from the police station and attacked them. Three youths were shot during the attack.
Among them, Ankit Kumar, Vikas Kumar, and Sahil Kumar were shot. Vikas and Sahil were shot in the leg, while Ankit was shot in the chest and is in critical condition. Ankit has been referred to Patna AIIMS, while Vikas and Sahil have been admitted to PMCH.
Tension prevails in the village following the incident, and police are camping at the scene. Police are conducting regular patrols and additional forces have been deployed. According to the Fatuha SDPO, the police have brought the situation under control. Several shells have been recovered from the scene. Two people have been detained and interrogation is ongoing. The search for other accused is ongoing.
