GOVERNMENT TAKES A STEP TOWARDS INCREASING FARMER’S INCOME

PATNA---------------------------The Bihar government on Tuesday launched two significant programs in collaboration with the Gates Foundation to modernize and strengthen the fisheries and dairy sectors in the state. These programs are named the Bihar Aquaculture Improvement Program and the Bihar Dairy Transformation Project. The objective of both projects is to strengthen rural livelihoods, increase farmers' income, and promote technology-based inclusive development. It is believed that the launch of these programs will lead to rapid development of the fisheries and dairy sectors in the state, creating new employment opportunities and significantly increasing farmers' income.

Presiding over the event, the Minister of Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department of the state, Surendra Mehta, said that the Bihar government is continuously working towards increasing farmers' income. He said that the government is fully committed to the development of the animal husbandry and fisheries sectors. The government is working towards the goal of a "Developed Bihar," and in the coming times, the state will make even greater progress in the fields of dairy, fisheries, and animal husbandry.
