ARA------------------------Former MLA of Jagdishpur Bhai Dinesh said that he talked to many people in Jawania village of Shahpur region and it is an unfortunate situation that despite such a terrible disaster, no concern is being seen from the government side. Hundreds of houses have been submerged in the Ganges, but no minister of the government has come to meet the affected families. It is the responsibility and duty of the government to shift the people of erosion-affected Jawania village to a completely safe place with arrangements like temporary tents.

Bhai Dinesh also said that the government should take this situation seriously. Many houses have been submerged so far. The government should make a big and concrete plan. The government should not leave the erosion victims by giving them only one lakh, twenty thousand rupees. This is a serious issue. No one can build a house in one lakh twenty thousand rupees.

Bhai Dinesh said that he saw that many good houses have collapsed. Therefore, the way the government has built houses for MPs and MLAs in Patna, similarly houses should be built for the erosion victims of Jawainiya village. These are the citizens of the country, and the government runs on the taxes of these people. In this disaster situation, it is the duty and responsibility of the government. Be it the Government of India or the Government of Bihar.

He told the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister that they are visiting other areas of Bihar, but have not visited Jawainiya village. He appealed to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister that they should visit Jawainiya village once. They should understand the pain and sorrow of the erosion victims. The people whose houses have been submerged, or the people of this entire village, should be settled in a safe place like a new village, so that people can live a safe and comfortable life.

Bhai Dinesh said that they should be settled in Shahpur Nagar Panchayat or at some good place and arrangements should be made for roads, electricity, water, and schools for the children to study, only then will democracy be strong when the value of the life of the common man is understood. The way the government builds houses for MLAs and MPs, it should build houses for every family of Jawania village.

Bhai Dinesh said that the new village should be named Jawania. People should be known by the name of the village where they were born and by which they have memories. Even if their land has been taken away, their name and identity should not be taken away. He said that only temporary arrangements like putting up tents or providing food are not enough. There should be a long-term plan immediately. Attention should be paid to future arrangements. It is time that the government understands its duties and comes forward to help the people.
