GOLDEN CHANCE TO SET UP AN OIL MILL

PATNA---------------------------The Agriculture Department of the Bihar government is continuously working to promote oilseed processing and oil extraction in the state. In this regard, the Agriculture Department has launched an attractive scheme for setting up oil mills. Under this scheme, the department is providing a 33 percent subsidy for the establishment of oil mills.

Online applications must be submitted by December 15th. This initiative of the government will lead to an increase in oilseed processing as well as production in the state. Farmers and youth can take advantage of this scheme to connect themselves with better self-employment opportunities. For young people who want to become entrepreneurs, this scheme offers an opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

As part of the assistance grant provided by the department, a maximum of Rs. 9,90,000 per unit or 33% of the project cost will be given for setting up an oil processing unit with a capacity of 10 tons. However, no assistance will be provided for the purchase of land or the construction of buildings/sheds. These costs will be excluded from the calculation of the project cost for the purpose of calculating the subsidy.

Farmers, government or private industries, registered start-ups and cooperative societies involved in oilseed processing, including Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), can apply to avail of this scheme. Online applications started on December 3rd. The last date for application is December 15th. To apply, the applicant will have to upload basic information about oil processing along with other necessary documents online. More information in this regard can be obtained from the District Agriculture Office.
