FOUR BANK ROBBERS ARRESTED WITH FIREARMS

BUXAR----------------------------Police has arrested four accused in the robbery incident with SBI bank employee of Koran Sarai of the district. Revealing this, the police said that on July 8, some unknown criminals had carried out a robbery incident with SBI bank employee Sanjay Kumar near Bhadar Canal under Sikraul police station area.

In this case, the police started investigation by registering Sikraul police station case number-83/25. During the press conference held at the police headquarters on Thursday, DSP Headquarters Pankaj Kumar said that a special investigation team (SIT) was formed under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Dumraon on the instructions of SP Shubham Arya for the successful investigation of the incident. The team resorted to human information as well as technical research. In the same sequence, on September 3, the police arrested three suspicious persons while selling stolen mobiles. Investigation of the recovered mobile confirmed that it belonged to bank employee Sanjay Kumar, which was snatched by the criminals during the robbery.

A country-made pistol, a live cartridge and a shell were also recovered from the three arrested criminals. During interrogation, the criminals told that they had thrown the tablet (Tab) used in the robbery in Bhadar Pokhara. The police took immediate action and recovered the Tab from the pond. On the information given by these three, the police arrested another criminal involved in this incident, from whom two live cartridges were recovered. No valid documents were presented regarding the weapons and cartridges seized from the four accused, on which Sikraul Police Station Case No. 100/25 was registered.

The DSP said that all the four accused have accepted their involvement in the incident during interrogation. The arrested criminals include Chandan Kumar son of Upendra Yadav, resident of Bhadar of Sikraul police station, Deepak Kumar son of Devendra Yadav, Rupesh Kumar son of Shivnarayan Yadav, Somnath Kumar son of Birendra Sah, resident of Baruha village of Bagen Gola police station area. Police have recovered a country-made pistol, three live cartridges, one empty shell, looted mobile and a tab from them.

Sub-divisional Police Officer Dumraon Polast Kumar, Sub-Inspector Srinath Kumar (Dumraon Zone), Police Station Head Sikraul Rakesh Kumar Singh, Chandan Kumar of DIU Buxar and his team, Mintu Kumar of Sikraul police station and armed forces played a commendable role in the successful detection of the case.
