Police took immediate action and arrested three individuals from one group and one from the other. Police recovered one empty cartridge and one live cartridge from the scene.

Meanwhile, Jagdish Yadav, son of the late Nanhak Yadav, a resident of Naya Tola Rassi Bagan in the Nawada police station area, filed a named FIR against Shyambabu Ram, his three sons, Pintu Ram, Sintu Kumar, and Rahul Kumar, residents of the same area, accusing them of assault and firing.

In the FIR, Jagdish Yadav stated that the accused came to his doorstep and began abusing him. When he refused to stop abusing them, he and his sons, Lotha Yadav and Pappu Yadav, were beaten. Rahul Kumar then pulled a pistol from his waistband and fired at his two sons with the intent to kill them. However, his two sons somehow escaped and saved their lives.

On the other hand, Mantu Kumar, son of Shyam Babu Ram, a resident of the Rassi Bagan locality in the Nawada police station area, has filed a named FIR against Lotha Yadav and Jitendra Yadav, accusing them of assault. In the FIR, Mantu Kumar stated that the men came to his house, abused him, and then left. A short while later, armed with weapons, they returned to his house, began abusing him, and beat his brother, severing his head. During the assault, they used casteist slurs and also hurled filthy abuses at his mother.

Meanwhile, Nawada police station in-charge Bipin Bihari stated that a fight broke out between two groups in Rassi Bagan on Saturday night, in which Rahul Kumar, from one side, opened fire. FIRs have been filed by both sides. Acting swiftly, the police arrested Shyam Babu Ram, his two sons, Mintu Ram and Sintu Kumar, and Lotha Yadav from the other side. One empty shell and one live cartridge have been recovered from the spot.
