ARA------------------------A grand ceremony was held in Kunwar Singh Mahavidyalaya campus on the martyrdom day of Shaheed Rajnath

Thousands of people paid tribute, speakers said - His struggle gave a new identity to Shahabad, Shri Surendra Singh, former MLA Mrs. Asha Devi, Shahpur Assembly MLA Rahul Tiwari, and other MLAs

Kunwar Singh Mahavidyalaya campus witnessed a historic moment today, when thousands of people of Shahabad region gathered to pay tribute to Shaheed Rajnath on his martyrdom day. This event was not only a symbol of reverence, but also became an opportunity to remember the social, cultural and development journey of Shahabad.

The ceremony was presided over by senior social worker Shri Surendra Singh. In his presidential address, he said, “It was because of the struggle and sacrifice of Shaheed Rajnath that development projects like Kunwar Singh Mahavidyalaya, Ara-Chhapra bridge and Ara-Sasaram railway line could be realised. He established a non-political organisation called ‘Kunwar Sena’ and took the region forward on the path of development.”

He further said that Shaheed Rajnath always remained the voice of the poor, maintained communal harmony and fought against corruption. Even today, the members of Kunwar Sena are engaged in social service following in his footsteps.

General Secretary Shri Tribhuvan Singh said on this occasion that it is unfortunate that the statue of Shaheed Rajnath has not been installed in the college campus till now. He announced that a movement will be launched for the installation of the statue.

Shahpur MLA Rahul Tiwari described him as a Yugpurush and said that “such personalities are not born again and again.” Jagdishpur MLA Dr. Lohia said that the development that is being seen in Shahabad today is the result of the struggles of Shaheed Rajnath.

Former MLA Anwar Alam got emotional and said, “We used to call him Netaji, he was our guide.” Former MLA Badhara Smt. Asha Devi called for dedicating life to society and country and said that this will be the true tribute. Former Legislative Councilor Shri Lal Das Rai described Shaheed Rajnath as an ideology and a great thinker.

Leaders of all political parties along with teachers, lawyers, Mukhiya, Sarpanch and District Council members participated in this grand event.

Among the prominent people present, Sanjay Singh, Ashok Sharma, Naveen Singh, Dhirendra Singh, Raghubar Singh Chandravanshi, Dr. Rajendra, Mohammad Harul, Arun Kumar Singh, Malik Yadav, Rinku Singh and Shriram Ojha etc. were prominently named. The program was conducted by Professor Satyanarayan Ram. Among the main speakers, Prof. Hiraji Rai said that the foundation of 'Kunwar Singh Vijay Utsav' which is being celebrated across the country today was first laid by Shaheed Rajnath.

In his address, Dr. Gulab Singh said that Shaheed Rajnath had called upon the Naxal-affected youth to fight the true battle of the poor and struggle for their social, economic and cultural upliftment.

The program began with garlanding the statue of Shaheed Rajnath and in the end all the attendees paid tribute to him by offering flowers on his picture. Also, a pledge was taken to make his unfulfilled dreams come true. This event was not only a tribute meeting but also became a historic moment to make the society aware and inspired.
