PATNA---------------------------Illegal sand trade conducted through fraudulent activities in six police stations of Patna district, fines of over 40 crore rupees.

Large-scale fraud and illegal sand trade exposed in Arwal as well, but lack of action raises questions.

A news item published in "Tarunmitra," titled "Unique Method 2: Train ran from Arwal to Bikram without rails, mafias transported sand and stockpiled it on a large scale." Taking the matter seriously, on the instructions of District Mining Officer, Patna, Kartik Kumar, the Mining Inspector filed FIRs against 41 individuals involved in the illegal sand trade in six police stations of Patna district. This has caused an uproar, and all involved have joined in lobbying, but according to a senior police officer, no one involved in the incident will be spared. "Tarunmitra" is continuously publishing news that a large scale sand scam has been committed in the state with the connivance of NIC. Title in Unique Method 1: Mining department issued challans for sand of 286 trucks in just 3 seconds, big scam? Investigation of the matter revealed that there has been large scale fraud in stocking of sand. On the orders of the Mining Director, the team of Patna District Mining Officer Kartik Kumar conducted the investigation. It was found correct in the investigation that large scale sand has been stocked by transporting sand by train in Dulhinbazar, Bikram, Ranitalab, Paliganj, IIT (Amhara), Naubatpur of Patna district. On the instructions of District Mining Officer Kartik Kumar, mining inspectors filed an FIR in Dulhinbazar against Baslal Yadav, Chhathu Kumar, Ganesh Kumar, Jai Kumar, Judagi Yadav, Nunu Sharma, Ramesh Yadav, Rajneesh Kumar, Ravishankar Kumar, Hrithik Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Satish Kumar, Shashi Bhushan Kumar, and Aman Akash. Similarly, an FIR was filed at Bikram police station against Dheeraj Kumar, Gautam Kumar, Pancham Bihari, Pappu Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Rana Saurabh, Ranveer Kushwaha, Satyendra Kumar, Sujit Kumar, Sunil Yadav, Suraj Kumar Singh, Suvesh Kumar, Uttam Kumar, Vinayaka Deep Construction, and Vindicom Suppliers and Builders Private Limited. In addition to these two police stations, Harendra Kumar, Nilesh Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Ramkishore Kumar, Arun Kumar, and Zimic Engineers Private Limited are also accused of fraudulent illegal sand mining in Paliganj. An FIR has been filed against them. Similarly, the District Mining Office has filed an FIR against Manish Kumar and Santosh Kumar at the Ranital Police Station, Jia Infra and Mrityunjay Kumar at the IIT (Amahara) Police Station, and Mithilesh Kumar and Ajit Kumar at the Naubatpur Police Station. It is known that the then District Mining Officer of Patna district had granted the highest number of stock licenses in the state. Standards were ignored in granting licenses. Consequently, sand was illegally stocked through fraudulent means on a large scale, leading to a massive sand scam. Despite the large-scale sand scam in Arwal, the then District Mining Officer, instead of taking action, granted them protection and allowed the loot to continue. A large gathering of sand mafia members was seen at the wedding of the then District Mining Officer and an NIC clerk, and goods and cash worth crores of rupees were received as gifts or extortion. Evidence has reached agencies investigating the illegal sand trade. Along with this, a diary and WhatsApp messages will expose the nexus between the mining department and the sand mafia. The crackdown on 41 people involved in fraud and illegal sand mining is just the beginning; let's see what happens next.
