FEAR PSYCHOSIS PREVAILS AMONG THE STUDENTS AND GUARDIANS AFTER A COUNTRY MADE PISTOL WAS FOUND FROM SCHOOL BAG OF A STUDENT

BHABHUA--------------------------Sunbeam Blossom School, one of the reputed private schools in Mohania city of the district, created a stir when a country-made pistol was found during a search of the bag of a ninth class student. This incident has raised serious questions about the safety of students in the school.

According to information received from sources, the school teachers recovered this weapon from the student's bag during a routine search. After the incident, the school administration allegedly tried to suppress the matter. It is alleged that after seizing the weapon, the student's parents were called and handed over to them. Also, all the other students of the class were strictly instructed not to give any information about this to anyone outside.

When some teachers of the school were informally talked to in this regard, they told on the condition of anonymity that the accused was recovered from the student's bag during a routine search, due to which a decision has been taken to expel the student from the school. It is being told that the student is still a minor.

This incident exposes the changing behaviour of children and security arrangements in schools. A minor student reaching school with a weapon is a very serious matter. The role of the school administration is also under question in this matter. Apart from informing the parents and expelling the student, why the police was not informed about this matter is a big question.

The school's headmistress is trying to cover up the matter. When the headmistress was asked about it through telephone, she shrugged it off by saying that it was a toy.

At present, the school management has not issued any official statement on this matter. This incident has created an atmosphere of concern among other parents about the safety of their children. They are demanding the school administration to maintain transparency in this matter and take concrete steps to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
