EXCISE DEPARTMENT ARRESTED TWO LIQUOR SMUGGLERS WITH 294 LITRES OF IMFL

BHABHUA------------------------The team of the prohibition department took action and seized 294 liters of English liquor near the Kewa canal under the Chainpur police station of the subdivision. This liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Bhabua in a Scorpio car. Two people have been arrested in the case. According to the information, the Excise Department had received secret information that a consignment of liquor was being brought from Uttar Pradesh to Bihar. Based on this information, the checking of vehicles was started near the Kewa canal of Chainpur police station area. During the investigation, a high-speed Scorpio was stopped. On searching, a large amount of English liquor hidden inside the vehicle was recovered. The total quantity of seized liquor is said to be 294 liters. Two people in the car were immediately arrested. At present, the arrested smugglers are being interrogated. The Excise Department is taking further legal action in this matter. It is worth noting that in Bihar, there is total prohibition law, despite this, cases of liquor smuggling from neighbouring states keep on coming up.
