EMPOWERED WOMEN, EMPOWERED BIHAR: SELF-CONFIDENCE OVERFLOWS IN WOMEN’S MEETING

ARA------------------------A women's dialogue program was organized today by Hariom Jeevika Mahila Gram Sangathan located in Jitaura Panchayat under Piro block of Bhojpur district. Deputy Development Commissioner Bhojpur, Gunjan Singh participated in this program. On this occasion, he directly interacted with the rural women and gave information about various schemes being run by the state government for women empowerment in simple and easy language. The special thing about the program was that the Deputy Development Commissioner not only gave detailed information about these schemes, but also listened seriously to the hopes, expectations and ground needs of women. He said that it is because of the active participation of women that Bihar is moving on the path of progress today. The schemes run by the state government have had a positive impact towards women empowerment. Due to the visionary thinking and leadership of the Chief Minister, women are now coming out of the kitchen and building a strong society. He also said that the “Mahila Samvad” program has become a strong platform to make the women of Bihar aware of various government schemes, which is not being run in this form in any other state of the country. He assured the women that if any kind of problem related to these schemes arises, they can meet him without hesitation or contact him through phone. All possible help will be provided by the district administration.

During the program, many women who benefited from the schemes of the state government shared their experiences of positive change and happiness in their lives.

After this, on the occasion of World Environment Day, the Deputy Development Commissioner planted a sapling in the Ram Dihal Yadav School campus under the “Ek Paudha Maa Ke Naam” campaign. Also, she inspired the Jeevika Didis to plant as many saplings as possible for environmental protection.

A total of 1398 Jeevika Mahila Gram Sangathans are to organize Mahila Samvad programs in all the blocks of Bhojpur district, out of which programs have been completed in 1151 village organizations so far. More than two lakh forty six thousand women and students have participated in these events.

On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Officer and Circle Officer, Piro, District Project Manager Jeevika Mr. Varun Kumar, Manager-Communication Jeevika Manish Kumar, Gudiya Kumari, Preeti Rani and other Jeevika workers were also present.
