ARA--------------------------All 425,000 domestic consumers of the Ara and Jagdishpur Electricity Supply Divisions are receiving the benefit of the 125-unit free electricity scheme. They are receiving this benefit under the Chief Minister's Electricity Consumer Assistance Scheme. Consumers with zero electricity bills include both urban and rural domestic consumers. Executive Engineer, Ara, Amrendra Kumar, stated that following the government's announcement, all domestic consumers began receiving the 125-unit free electricity benefit in July. For consumer convenience and awareness, the Electricity Department is running an awareness campaign regarding the 125-unit free electricity scheme and cyber fraud from September 29th to October 1st. As part of this campaign, all branches of the Ara and Jagdishpur Electricity Supply Divisions promoted the schemes through selfie points, canopies, information stalls, and flex posters at Durga Puja pandals and celebration sites on Monday. In addition, people were also made aware of the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme. During the Service Fortnight, the Electricity Department organized camps at various levels to provide consumers with information about the 125 units of free electricity and other electricity-related services available under the Chief Minister's Electricity Consumer Assistance Scheme. He stated that ensuring consumers receive direct benefits from the schemes and have their problems resolved promptly is the department's priority. In light of instructions from company headquarters, a public awareness campaign was conducted in all villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods from September 26th to 28th through mobile vans and microphones, and messages were provided to consumers regarding electrical safety, information about schemes, and protection against cyber fraud. On September 27th, camps were set up at all district headquarters and electricity supply division offices, and bills were distributed to approximately 50 to 100 consumers receiving 125 units of free electricity. The state government will also install free solar panels on the rooftops of all Kutir Jyoti consumers.
