BUXAR-------------------------The problem of traffic jams in Dumraon is decades old, but the Municipal Council administration has yet to find a solution.

The situation is such that the city's main markets, Rajgola Road, Chowk Road, Station Road, and Safakhana Road, are constantly jammed. The problem of traffic jams in Dumraon is decades old, but the Municipal Council administration has yet to find a solution. The situation is such that the city's main markets, Rajgola Road, Chowk Road, Station Road, and Safakhana Road, are constantly jammed.

A similar situation was witnessed on Tuesday, when Gola Road and Chowk Road remained jammed throughout the day. Residents from rural areas, shopkeepers, drivers, and students faced a lot of inconvenience. People say that the situation remained the same throughout Monday..

Local shopkeepers say that the wedding season is about to begin. On normal days, the market used to be bustling with customers, but since the traffic jams have worsened, customers from rural areas have become disillusioned with Dumraon. They are turning to other markets due to the daily traffic jams, causing financial losses for local businesses.

Businessmen on Rajgola Road, Amar Keshari, Sanjay Kumar, Golden, and others, say that traffic had already collapsed before Durga Puja in the name of road construction, which had crippled business during the festive season. And now, the traffic jams are impacting their businesses.

Experts say that encroachment is the primary cause of the daily traffic jams on Rajgola Road, Chowk Road, and Safakhana Road. After launching a campaign against encroachment, the Municipal Council administration remains silent. Encroachment becomes most severe during the festive season and weddings. At this time, the footpath on Rajgola Road is barely visible, and the road itself becomes quite narrow. Local shopkeepers say that Rajgola Road is occupied by street vendors throughout the day. Automobiles and e-rickshaws also ply the road during this time, exacerbating the traffic jams.

Shopkeepers say that the traffic jams have worsened over the past few days, while the Municipal Council administration, despite knowing everything, has remained silent, emboldening encroachers.

After the counting of votes concludes on November 14th, a continuous campaign will be launched against encroachment in the city. No one will be allowed to encroach on the roads. Local businesses will soon be permanently relieved of the traffic jams. - Rahuldhar Dubey, EO, Municipal Council, Dumraon.
