DM-SP HELD JOINT MEETING ON TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

BUXAR---------------------------District Magistrate Dr. Vidyanand Singh and Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya held a joint review meeting on important traffic management issues. Strict instructions were issued during the meeting regarding increasing traffic congestion, illegal parking, and vehicle irregularities on the city and national highways.

The toll plaza manager was instructed to ensure that vehicles are released in a single lane in a queue to avoid unnecessary congestion. In the event of a vehicle breakdown on the Veer Kunwar Singh Bridge, orders were given to immediately remove it with a crane and ensure 24x7 crane availability at the roundabout.

It was reported that many truck drivers heading towards Uttar Pradesh cover or paint their number plates to avoid taxes and challans. Following this, the District Transport Officer was directed to strictly investigate and impose fines on such vehicles.

Motor Vehicle Inspectors were instructed to check vehicles on the side of the road or in places that would not create traffic jams. Additionally, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) was directed to identify suitable parking spaces from the roundabout to Syndicate and Bypass Jyoti Chowk.

The Executive Officer of the Municipal Council was directed to prepare a detailed action plan to ensure encroachment-free roads in the city. The administration clarified that improving the traffic system is a priority and that any negligence will not be tolerated.
