DM INSPECTED THE PROPOSED DISPATCH CENTRE AT SHAHPUR

ARA-------------------------- District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Bhojpur Tanay Sultania inspected the proposed dispatch center Primary Education College, Bihiya for 198-Shahpur Assembly Constituency in the course of preparation for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly General Election 2025. During the inspection, necessary guidelines were given to the Returning Officer-cum-Land Reforms Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jagdishpur and the concerned Assistant Returning Officers of Shahpur Assembly Constituency. The District Magistrate clearly directed that all the necessary preparations related to the dispatch of polling parties and EVM receiving should be ensured in a timely manner and with full responsibility. He also specifically said that the dispatch of polling personnel, parking of vehicles, control room arrangements and all other arrangements at the dispatch center should be done systematically and on time, so that the election work can be completed smoothly. Executive Engineer, Building Division Ara was directed to immediately prepare a temporary strong room for the safekeeping of EVMs/VVPATs at the dispatch center. Also, necessary guidelines were given to Nodal Officer, Strong Room Cell-cum-Senior Treasury Officer, Bhojpur to ensure the construction of the strong room under his supervision. Apart from this, instructions were also given to the concerned officers to ensure proper arrangements for electricity, drinking water, toilets etc. at the dispatch center as soon as possible.

During the inspection, Returning Officer 198-Shahpur Assembly Constituency-cum-Land Reforms Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jagdishpur; Nodal Officer, Strong Room Cell-cum-Senior Treasury Officer, Bhojpur; Junior Election Officer, Jagdishpur; Executive Engineer Building Division; Executive Engineer Electricity; Executive Engineer PHED, Bhojpur; All Assistant Returning Officers and other related officers/workers were present
