DIU ARRESTS A MISCREANT

ARA-----------------------------Police have arrested a criminal in connection with the robbery of a jeweler near Bakhriyan village in the Mufussil police station area. He is Ankit Kumar, a resident of Ibrahim Nagar in the Nagar police station area. He was arrested by the DIU team. He was jailed in January this year for robbing jewelry worth lakhs in the Nawada police station area. He is also wanted in an attempted robbery case in the Nawada police station area. Police will seek his remand in that case as well.

It is reported that a jeweler was robbed on the evening of July 1st this year near Bakhriyan village in the Mufussil police station area. Five criminals on bikes stole jewelry, mobile phones, and other documents worth approximately one lakh rupees at gunpoint. An FIR was filed against five unidentified criminals based on the statement of the victim, Kamlesh Kumar Soni, a resident of Agarsanda Behra village in the Dhobhan police station area.

Three criminals were arrested earlier by the police in that case. However, two including Ankit Kumar were absconding. Meanwhile, according to the police, Ankit Kumar's name had come up in an attempt to rob a man near Ara railway station in December last year. The police were searching for him in that case.

According to station in-charge Bipin Bihari, Ankit Kumar will be remanded in that case. It is being told that Ankit Kumar had gone to jail in January this year for robbing 630 grams of gold jewellery from a jeweller.
