ARA-----------------------------The delegation of Bihar Progressive University Teachers Association (BPUTA) has been continuously struggling for a long time on the issue of restoration of Old Pension Scheme for teachers and employees. The organization believes that Old Pension is not only a guarantee of social and economic security of teachers and employees, but it is also an assurance of a respectable future.
In this connection, the delegation of the organization is constantly establishing dialogue with the top leadership of various political parties and submitting applications to them in this regard, urging that the restoration of Old Pension Scheme should be made a major issue in the manifesto of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Today, in this sequence, the delegation had a cordial and meaningful meeting with the President of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee and Honorable MLA (Kutumba) and General Secretary of CPI (ML) Honorable Dipankar Bhattacharya ji. During this, both the leaders not only listened to the organization's words seriously, but also assured that they will include the Old Pension Scheme in the manifesto of their party and give proper place to this issue in the election agenda.
he organization welcomed this initiative and expressed hope that all political parties will support this public-friendly and justifiable demand, which will ensure stability and security in the lives of lakhs of teachers and employees.
On this occasion, Prof. Hemant Kumar Jha (President), Dr. Atif Rabbani (Vice President), Dr. Chintu (General Secretary), Dr. Shobhan Chakraborty (Treasurer), Dr. Ashutosh Kumar and other officials and members were present on behalf of the organization.
BPUTA called upon all teachers and employees to join the Old Pension Mehrauli to be held at Miller High School, Patna on September 14. The organization wants to make it clear once again that it will not make any kind of compromise on this demand of teachers and employees and the struggle will continue till the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme.
