ARA-------------------------In the past few days, there has been tremendous anger among common citizens, students, job aspirants and advocates against the huge shortage and well-planned black marketing of non-judicial stamp papers ranging from ₹ 10/- to ₹ 1000/- in Ara city.

Famous advocate and former joint secretary of Bar Association Ara Pramod Kumar Rai expressed strong opposition to this situation and said –

“This is not only an organized economic exploitation, but also a direct tampering with the future of thousands of youth. By creating artificial shortage with the connivance of stamp vendors and some treasury employees, a stamp of ₹ 1000 is being openly sold for ₹ 1400 to ₹ 1500 and a stamp of ₹ 10 for ₹ 40–₹ 50. This is a gross criminal act.”

He said that the youth is being badly affected due to lack of stamps required especially for army recruitment, educational enrollment, legal documents and various government processes. The inaction of the district administration in this entire matter is also under suspicion.

Pramod Kumar Rai has demanded from the Chief Minister of Bihar that - Immediate action should be taken against the guilty stamp vendors and related employees, Proper supply of non-judicial stamp paper should be restored, And the district administration should be directed to implement a monitoring system to prevent black marketing.

He also warned that if no effective steps are taken soon, then advocates and aware citizens may have to take to the streets and take the path of agitation. The public is no longer ready to tolerate this exploitation silently.
