ARA---------------------------A review meeting was held in the office room of Deputy Development Commissioner Gunjan Singh to review the developmental works being carried out by the Education Department. In the meeting, important points like innovations being done in the field of education, quality teaching, effective operation of mid-day meal scheme, strengthening of overall system in schools and improvement in the academic performance of relatively weaker children were discussed in detail. The Deputy Development Commissioner directed that special attention should be given to weak children during school hours itself to strengthen their studies and ensure effective monitoring. During the meeting, special emphasis was laid on strengthening better teaching-learning system and other necessary facilities for the girl students studying in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. Also, various innovations being run in the district such as all children coming to school wearing slippers and shoes, providing timely facilities to students under Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, making the follow-up and evaluation system of innovations effective, and establishment and operation of Poshan Vatika under Mid Day Meal Scheme - all these topics were discussed seriously and the concerned officials were instructed for regular monitoring.

District Education Officer Mr. Manvendra Kumar Rai, District Program Officer (Establishment and Mid Day Meal Scheme) Mr. Ramesh Pal, District Program Officer (Samagra Shiksha) Mr. Chandan Prabhakar, all Assistant Program Officers and Division Incharges associated with Bihar Education Project were present in the meeting.
