A clash involving Madan Chandravanshi, the CPI(ML) candidate from the All India Mahagathbandhan (AIM-Mahagathbandhan), and an attack on his vehicle has come to light during a public relations campaign in Baisadih village of the Tarari assembly constituency in Bhojpur district on Saturday evening. The CPI(ML) is also alleging firing at the candidate and his vehicle.
A named FIR has been filed at the local police station based on the statement of CPI(ML) candidate Madan Chandravanshi. A named accused is Satka alias Sonu Upadhyay, a resident of Baisadih village. Former Agiaon Assembly MLA Manoj Manzil released a video detailing the incident.
In the video, the former MLA stated that on Saturday evening around 7 p.m., CPI(ML) candidate Madan Chandravanshi, along with his party workers, had gone to Baisadih village as part of a public relations campaign. They were walking through the village, accompanied by their vehicle. At that time, a man named Sonu Upadhyay, alias Satka, suddenly opened fire on candidate Madan Chandravanshi's vehicle. Aerial firing was also conducted.
Former MLA Manoj Manzil has demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. He has spoken to the police station in-charge, the Piro SDPO, and the Bhojpur SP, urging them to take appropriate action. Upon receiving information about the incident, Piro SDPO Krishna Kumar Singh also reached Hasan Bazaar and investigated the matter. Superintendent of Police Raj stated that a thorough investigation is underway. The Piro SDPO is personally investigating the matter. Necessary action will be taken against the culprits.
