RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA-----------------------------In protest against the brutal mob lynching of Muslim cloth vendor Mohammad Athar Hussain on December 5, 2025, in Bhatta village under Roh police station area of Nawada district, a statewide protest day was organized today across Bihar by CPI (ML) and Insaf Manch. A march was taken out from the party office in Shritola, Ara, followed by a public meeting at the bus stand.

The meeting was addressed by Insaf Manch State Secretary and former Ara Assembly candidate Comrade Qayamuddin Ansari, AIPWA Bhojpur District Secretary Indu Singh, and several other speakers. The meeting was conducted by AISA District Secretary Vikas Kumar, and presided over by CPI (ML) District Committee member Rajnath Ji.

On this occasion, CPI (ML) Central Committee member Abhyuday Ji, State Committee member Vijay Ojha Ji, City Secretary Sudhir Singh, AISA State Secretary Shabir Kumar, Sangeeta Singh, Roshan Kushwaha, Kalawati Ji, Milton Ji, Rajinder Yadav, Sant Ji, Bablu Gupta, Randhir Rana, Chhote, Harinath, Pankaj, Dhananjay, Devanti, Rita, Shanti, Manti Devi, and dozens of others were present.

All those involved in the murder of Mohammad Athar Hussain should be immediately arrested and given strict punishment. The victim's family should be provided with security, justice, and adequate compensation. False cases should be dropped, and action should be taken against the guilty police personnel and officials. Bulldozer action and mob rule should be immediately stopped. Home Minister Samrat Choudhary should publicly answer for the state of law and order in the state.

The speakers said that this incident raises serious questions about the rule of law in Bihar. This is a living example of the communal atmosphere being continuously created by the BJP in Bihar. Since Home Minister Samrat Choudhary took office, there has been an increase in incidents of mob violence and bulldozer action in the state. If the NDA government is dreaming of implementing the 'Yogi model' in Bihar, it will be extremely dangerous for the social unity and democracy of the state, which will be strongly resisted. Mohammad Athar Hussain was surrounded and subjected to inhumane torture merely on the suspicion of being Muslim. He was brutally beaten, branded with hot irons, his ears were cut off, his fingers were broken, and petrol was poured into his private parts. After being left in a near-dead state, a false case of theft was filed against him. He died on December 12, 2025, while undergoing treatment. The police, district administration, and medical negligence are directly responsible for his death.

Following the incident, an atmosphere of fear prevails in Bhatta village and the surrounding areas. The 10-15 Muslim families living in the village are terrified and unable to speak openly. The perpetrators are being protected, and no serious investigation into their background has been conducted so far. The CPI(ML) and Insaf Manch appeal to the people of Bihar to come forward to protect the Constitution, democracy, and justice. The struggle against mob rule, hatred, and the politics of oppression will continue.
