DELHI--------------------------The Congress party intensified its campaign on the issue of 'vote theft' by organizing a large rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. Addressing the rally, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a strong attack on the BJP government and the Election Commission, leveling serious allegations against the government for weakening democracy.

Priyanka Gandhi said that when Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Parliament and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi raised important issues like Special Intensive Revision and vote theft, the Modi government flatly refused to discuss them. She alleged that the government said that there would be a discussion on 'Vande Mataram' first, and only then would the issue of vote theft be discussed.

Priyanka Gandhi said, "We kept discussing 'Vande Mataram' in the House, but the Modi government did not show the courage to discuss the real issues of the people."

The Congress General Secretary accused the BJP of engaging in pressure tactics, saying that in the last general election, opposition chief ministers were jailed, the Congress's bank account was frozen, and baseless allegations were made.

She quipped, "Those who were weak-hearted joined the BJP. As people joined the BJP, they were washed clean in the BJP's 'washing machine'."

Priyanka Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the Election Commission, saying, "I challenge the BJP to contest a fair election using ballot papers just once. They will never win, and the BJP knows this."

She said that today the BJP needs the Election Commission because without it, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot win elections. Naming three Election Commission officials—Gyanesh Kumar, Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, and Vivek Joshi—she said that the country will never forget them. Priyanka Gandhi alleged that these officials have attacked democracy, and for the first time in history, the entire opposition does not trust the Election Commission.

Priyanka Gandhi accused the Modi government of not discussing important issues like inflation, unemployment, and women's safety in Parliament. She said that the government has failed on every front. She alleged that the value of the rupee has fallen to nearly 90 against the dollar, foreign policy has failed, the youth are troubled by paper leaks, and the country's assets are being handed over to Adani and Ambani. She also alleged that a person associated with the Prime Minister's Office was involved in betting app scams, but even these serious issues are not being discussed in Parliament.

Priyanka Gandhi said that the Congress party will continue its struggle from the streets to Parliament to protect democracy and the Constitution.
