PATNA-------------------------Participated in the dialogue program organized with the electricity consumers of the state through video conferencing. Under the Chief Minister's Electricity Consumer Assistance Scheme, all domestic electricity consumers are now being provided free electricity up to 125 units per month. Electricity consumers of all districts were connected in today's program. Women consumers of Supaul, Nalanda, Muzaffarpur and Gayaji districts interacted with the Chief Minister.

During the dialogue program, Mrs. Komal Kumari, a resident of Supaul district, thanked the Chief Minister for providing free electricity up to 125 units per month and said that our family is getting a lot of benefit from the 125 units of electricity you have made free. We will deposit the money that will be saved in our daughter's account, which will benefit my daughter in the future. Our entire family is very happy with this decision of yours.

Leela Kumari of Nalanda district thanked the Chief Minister and said that we thank you wholeheartedly for this decision of yours. Now, the savings from the free electricity being provided up to 125 units per month, we will use it for our kitchen, children's education and health etc. Our entire family thanks you wholeheartedly for this.

Gudiya Khatoon, a resident of Muzaffarpur district, thanking the Chief Minister, said that earlier you were giving subsidy on electricity. Now you are providing us free electricity up to 125 units per month, for this our entire family thanks you wholeheartedly. Due to 125 units of electricity being free, our electricity bill has come to zero. We have also talked to many families present here whose electricity bill has also come to zero. With this saving, we will be able to pay special attention to the health and education of our children. For this we all express our gratitude to you.

Noor Jahan Khatoon, a resident of Gayaji district, thanking the Chief Minister, said that now free electricity up to 125 units per month is being provided, our family is benefiting from this. Due to 125 units of electricity being free, our electricity bill has come to zero. The savings from the monthly electricity expenditure earlier will be used for essential household expenses. All of us are very happy. We all give our heartfelt blessings to you.

In the program, the Secretary of Energy Department, Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting a green plant. During the program, a short film based on the achievements of the Energy Department was screened. During the dialogue program, the Chief Minister said that I am happy to participate in the dialogue program with electricity consumers today. The state government has now decided to provide free electricity up to 125 units per month to all domestic consumers and it has also been implemented. All domestic electricity consumers are very happy with this and today's program has been organized for this.

The Chief Minister said that before the year 2005, the condition of electricity in the state was very bad. Even in the capital Patna, there was no electricity for more than 7-8 hours. After our government was formed in the state on 24 November 2005, large scale work was done to improve the power sector. The budget of the energy department was increased and the supply of electricity was increased. After this, electricity was provided to all the villages and hamlets of the state. In the year 2015, under the Saat Nishchay Yojana, the 'Har Ghar Bijli' scheme was started and the work of providing electricity to every house was completed in October 2018, two months before the scheduled time. After this, electricity has been provided to all the new houses or hamlets that have been built.

The Chief Minister said that we have been providing electricity to all the people at cheap rates from the very beginning. The government spends a lot of money in purchasing electricity but people have been paying much less than the cost. He said that in the interest of the people, we have decided that from the July bill itself, all the domestic consumers of the state will now be given free electricity up to 125 units per month. It has been implemented and 1 crore 89 lakh domestic consumers of the state are getting a lot of benefit from it.

The Chief Minister said that the government is also promoting solar energy and solar power plants have been installed on the roofs of all government buildings. Now we have also decided that all interested domestic consumers will be given the benefit of solar energy by the state government. He said that today a dialogue program has been organized at many places across the state. About 16 lakh people are participating in today's program. Along with this, the ministers in charge of all the districts and other respected public representatives are also present in this program. Some domestic consumers have also expressed their views in this program.

The Chief Minister said that Energy and Planning and Development Minister Shri Bijendra Prasad Yadav has been looking after all the work from the beginning. I thank the Energy Department and Energy Minister Shri Bijendra Prasad Yadav for organizing this program. He said that I am hopeful that this new initiative has provided a lot of relief to electricity consumers. The state government will continue to work in the interest of you people in this way. I thank all the electricity consumers associated with today's program.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary and Energy cum Planning and Development Minister Mr. Bijendra Prasad Yadav also addressed the program.
