ARA-------------------------When Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave land papers to the erosion victims of Jawainiya village in Jagdishpur of Bhojpur district, it became a symbol of a new beginning. It was a historic moment for the erosion victims of Jawainiya village. This step is a ray of hope for all those who have become homeless from their homes due to natural disaster. The district administration and the government have ensured that all the erosion affected families are provided with proper assistance and resources so that they can start their new life. The government worked to bring a new prosperity for the people of Jawainiya village. In the last five decades, families of any village were not relocated on such a large scale. This will be the first time after independence that the process of settling a new village has been completed by the government. Looking at the condition of the erosion victims of Jawainiya village, there are about two dozen villages in the block whose total population is less than the population of these pamphlet holders. This pamphlet was given to 70 erosion victims of Jawainiya village in the southern part of Bilauti village of the block by the CM in the meeting of Jagdishpur. On this occasion, a symbolic cheque of Rs 2 crore 24 lakh 40 thousand was also provided by the Disaster Management Department to a total of 187 erosion affected families at the rate of one lakh twenty thousand rupees per family.

A new Jawainiya Tola will be settled in Bilauti Panchayat, about 20 kilometers away from the present Jawainiya village. In this new tola, 70 families have been allotted three decimals of land per family by the government. This is especially for those families whose house was merged into the Ganga river due to the erosion of the Ganga river. According to the information received, pamphlets were given to 70 erosion victims in Bilauti Mauja, about three kilometers east of the block headquarters. Under this process, about five and a half acres of government land was first measured and plotted. Each family has been given a plot of three decimals of land. Along with this, a ten feet path has also been provided between one plot and another, so that all the families do not face any difficulty in connecting with each other. Apart from this, a path has also been made to reach the main road, so that people can easily commute.

A middle school and a plus two school are also located at a short distance from the said land, which will provide education facilities for the residents of this new village. This step is not only a new beginning for the erosion victims, but it is also an opportunity to move in a positive direction for the future of their children.
