BULLDOZERS LAUNCHED AGAINST ENCROACHMENT

ARA------------------------Since the formation of the new NDA government in Bihar, bulldozer action against encroachment has been ongoing. Today, Tuesday, bulldozer action was also seen in the Koilwar Nagar Panchayat area of ​​Bhojpur. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, the administration took major and strict action against encroachment, removing illegal structures spread across the entire roadway.

A joint team of district and local administrations was on duty since morning from Block Road, Koilwar Chowk, to the station. The administration removed concrete structures, permanent iron stairs, and sheds built in front of shops that had been occupying the road, one by one. Bulldozers were also used in several areas.

As soon as the campaign began, chaos descended on the market. Many shopkeepers scrambled to protect their goods and structures. Some traders, seeing the situation, began removing their encroachments on their own, while the administration demolished shops found to have permanent structures without any leniency. Officials had clear instructions that no illegal encroachment on roads and footpaths would be tolerated.

This major campaign was led by the Executive Officer of the Nagar Panchayat. During the operation, Additional Station House Officer of Koilwar Police Station, Subhash Mandal, a team of police personnel, municipal workers, and other officials remained on duty. Keeping security in mind, police force was deployed at all key points to prevent crowds or protests.

The administration stated that despite repeated warnings and notices, encroachments along the roadside were not being removed, necessitating this drastic measure. The removal of encroachments cleared space on the main roads, leading to smooth traffic. Locals also praised this initiative, stating that the daily traffic jams in the market area would be significantly reduced. Finally, the administration clarified that such campaigns will continue in the coming days, and this is just the beginning towards making the city completely encroachment-free.
