If you want to build a new home in the capital city of Patna, you will have to comply with an important condition set by the Municipal Corporation. Failure to do so will leave your dream unfulfilled. Yes, if you want to build a new house in Patna, installing a CCTV camera will now be mandatory, otherwise, the building plan will not be approved.

The Patna Municipal Corporation will implement this condition during the approval of building plans, and for holding and commercial tax purposes. This rule will apply to all commercial establishments, apartments, and private residences in the Patna urban area. This mandatory condition has been implemented keeping in mind the safety and law and order of the city. A proposal in this regard has already been sent to the concerned department.

In view of the city's security, Patna Smart City Limited is now going to install more and more cameras at various locations in the city. Along with this, a decision has been taken to immediately install CCTV cameras at police stations/outposts where they have not yet been installed. After the camera installation, Patna Smart City will maintain them in coordination with the station house officers of all the areas.

The Patna Municipal Corporation has also requested all establishments, institutions, and private building owners to install cameras on their premises. The concerned police station will maintain a list of apartments and the names and mobile numbers of their secretaries or security guards. They will also be provided with the police station's contact details to prevent any untoward incidents.
