There was a stir in the Bikramganj police station area of the district on Wednesday when the bodies of two minor girls were recovered near the Salempur bridge of Dumraon Line Canal. On the information of the local people, the police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and started investigation.

SASARAM----------------------There was a stir in the Bikramganj police station area of the district on Wednesday when the bodies of two minor girls were recovered near the Salempur bridge of Dumraon Line Canal. On the information of the local people, the police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and started investigation.
Superintendent of Police Roshan Kumar, giving information, said that the deceased girls have been identified as Sabina Parveen and Rozi Khatoon, residents of Marozhiya village of Nasriganj police station area. The age of both is said to be between 15 and 17 years.
According to SP Roshan Kumar, prima facie the case appears to be a suicide from the evidence present at the scene. However, the real reasons will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report and questioning of the family members. The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are seriously investigating the matter.
After the incident, sensation has spread in the area and various kinds of discussions are going on among the villagers. The family members are being questioned so that it can be ascertained how the two girls reached near the canal and under what circumstances this tragic incident happened.
The police administration has appealed to the people not to spread rumors and said that any conclusion will be reached only after investigation.
