BLO LODGED FIR AGAINST THE JOURNALIST AJIT ANJUM IN BIHAR OVER SIR REPORTING

PATNA---------------------------An FIR has been lodged against senior journalist Ajit Anjum who was doing ground reporting of the special intensive review going on in Bihar. The FIR has been lodged on the application of BLO Ansarulhaq of Sahebpur Kamal assembly constituency. Ajit Anjum had exposed the irregularities happening during SIR on his channel.

Ajit Anjum has issued his reaction on his social media platform X after the FIR. He has said that he has fulfilled his journalistic duty during his reporting. The irregularities that we saw on the ground were exposed. Incomplete forms were filled at many places, they are also being submitted. Dainik Bhaskar has also mentioned this in its report.

Ajit Anjum, while expressing his reaction on social media, has written that a Muslim BLO of Begusarai has been made a pawn against me. There is nothing in my video that has been said in this FIR. You people watch and decide. There are many questions in the 40-minute video, which should be answered by the Election Commission. I received calls from SDM and BDO several times to stop my video from being published. Because a lot of things were captured in my camera which became a cause of embarrassment for them. I did not listen to them. So a Muslim BLO was pressurized and an FIR was filed by him.

After the FIR was filed against Ajit Anjum, senior journalist Ravish Kumar also reacted sharply and wrote that the name of the Election Commission should be changed to FIR Commission. The opposition should go to every village and ask the voters why they have received an acknowledgement receipt? Or the Commission should remove from its board the statement that BLOs are carrying two forms? The FIR should be filed against the person who gave this instruction and got it written. As per the rules, the Commission should thank @ajitanjum and withdraw the FIR. The cases against the BLOs who have been punished should also be withdrawn.
